Alternatives to the Current System: (1) NJAC: Erstwhile NJAC could be revived with reformed terms after Consultation with all stakeholders including judiciary. (2) Reform in collegium system: In the present system no member of Government is represented in Collegium. (3) Transparency: Minutes of meeting of collegium system should be made public. (4) Time bound decision: Both judiciary and government should specify a time limit to take decision. Appointment of judges should not affect the independence of judiciary.
