Early nationalists are generally ordered to activities of Indian leaders before the foundation of Congress. [Political and Economic] → foundation of political platform for political discourse → Indian National Association, Bengal Zamanidars Association. ⟹ Dada bhai Naoroji's essays revealing strain of wealth, de industrialization et → Revolt of 1857 to throw British rule ⟹ Tharsi - Ravi Lakshmi Tanha Tope, Kumwar Singh etc.

⟹ Neel Revolt/Vidyoth (Peeyamduha mithon) to overthrow exploitative economic laws. ⟹ Tribal Uprising Santhal, Kol & the ⟹ [Socio-Cultural] ⟹ Widow Remarriage by Vidyasagar ⟹ Push for ban of sati by Rammohan Ray ⟹ Tytloba Phule, Savibit Bai for women education. ⟹ Narayana phroru for upliftment of downtrodden. All these activities integrated to give rise to mass awareness among Indian finally resulting in overthrown of British.
